Prof. Bojan Kovacevic MD, PhD

Prof. Bojan Kovacevic graduated in 2001 from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, with a grade point average of 9.40.
Since 2003, he has been employed at the Department of Surgery, Zvezdara University Clinical Center.
In 2007, he passed the specialist examination in General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
That same year, he earned a master’s degree with a thesis in Surgical Anatomy.
In 2012, he defended his doctoral dissertation in Endocrine Surgery and was awarded the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences.
In 2009, he was appointed Assistant in the subject of General Surgery at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Belgrade. He was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor in 2013 and to Professor in 2018.
Following completion of his specialization, he pursued further professional training both domestically and abroad.
He is a member of numerous national and international professional associations.
He is the author and co-author of multiple papers published in international journals.
Although he routinely performs most general surgical procedures (hernia repairs, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, abdominal and proctologic surgeries, breast surgeries), his primary field of interest is surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.
